Many providers reach this population without taking a dedicated course, training, or receiving supervision in it. Graduate training rarely covers what an infertility diagnosis does to a couple, what a stillbirth does to a family, or what postpartum intrusive thoughts actually sound like in session, so providers end up building this expertise case by case, on their own.
